Beth Henderson, an auxiliary Butterfly member of Troop #109 living in Wales, recently did her Make a Difference Award by coordinating the decor for a formal dinner for a Church function.  She designed, drew and coloured the place mats, coasters, name plates and serviette/napkin rings.  She lead 4 other people by having them laminate the mats and coasters; arrange for matching tablecloths of specific sizes; set up the tables; set up the silverware and china, and select matching serviettes (napkins).  The result is stunning, as shown in the photographs!

It never ceases to amaze me the creative ways that girls can find to give service to their communities.   Adding some beauty to a church dinner, makes it so much more special for those attending.  Without volunteers to step up and take charge, much would not get done in our communities.  Many times, girls think of traditional service projects like park clean ups or food drives, but don’t forget that bringing beauty and joy into peoples lives is also a worthwhile service.
